After 15.5 days of procrastination, I finally started writing SNAKE OIL yesterday at 4:30 pm. I am only 1000 words in so it’s not time to strain my shoulder patting myself on the back, but a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. I had a week’s worth of set backs for moving and rental guests and general brain fatigue, then my outlined had to be scraped because history made my December 1976 plot line impossible. Whoopsie. All that aside, I actually had tingles when I started writing yesterday. That’s a really good sign!

And I trekked to Houston, Nowheresville, DeLeon, and Dallas as the trailing spouse to my hard working man <3 We squeezed in several family dinners, some football games in my parents’ living room, four horse rides, and a couple of country walks.
Katniss is too fat to fit in the picture frame. She’s had a nice summer off 🙂
